Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank was founded through the Presbyterian Church and began its ministry in the West Valley in 1981. In 1996, AFFCB moved into the current location in Avondale. In 2009, AFFCB expanded services to include a Tonopah location. AFFCB offers many services to those who are in need, as well as providing opportunities for those in the community to partner together through volunteer opportunities and donations.
Our Mission here at Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank as a faith-based, non-profit organization, is to provide services to families and individuals in the Southwest Valley who are hungry, in need, or facing crisis.
We Serve those in need in the Southwest Valley covering the following areas: Avondale, Goodyear, Litchfield park, Tolleson, Cashion, Buckeye, and Tonopah. Most services require a Photo ID and Proof of Current Address in one of our service areas.
Our Services include: Emergency Food Boxes, Emergency Clothing, Senior Food boxes, Daily Food and Showers for Homeless, Baby Care Program, School Uniform Program, and Holiday Programs.
We need three very specific capitals items this year for our Avondale location:
These items are critical to ensure we are able to continue serving the community; especially during this difficult time.
Strike Out Hunger is our annual fundraising event. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we had to cancel our in-person event that was scheduled for the beginning of April. However, because of the help of Two Second Media, we are now broadcasting Strike Out Hunger 2020 Live Online through Facebook, YouTube, and our event website: www.strikeouthunger2020.com on April 27, 2020 from 8:00am – 4:00pm. The day will be full of performances, interviews, a live auction, hourly raffles, and so much more!
Our goal this year is to raise $30,000 on the day of the event. With your help, we can do it!
